The first show that was offered in 1974, was "Dave Allen The Magic Man" doing magic for kids parties through out the Clinton, Iowa area.
Mr. Allen is experienced in all forms of entertainment magic from close up magic in night clubs to a full evening illusion show where he cut ladies in half, locks his assistants up in a large crates only to change places with them magically, and much more.
About every six years Mr. Allen adds something new to the act. The first addition in 1980 was ventriloquism. Coming on board were Leo the not to bright lion, Pugs the little lost puppy, and many other puppet friends.
Dave added three ball juggling in 1986. Then in 1992 Dave taught himself to make balloon animals for the kids and included that as well.
1998 brought the addition of hand crafted marionettes (string puppets). Dave created a whole circus in miniature with his puppet friends dangling from strings while being gracefully controlled from above. The puppets include Tommy Trap the trapeze artist, Wally the wire walker, several fun-time clowns, Bobby Bare the roller skating bear, and more.
This year Mr. Allen has added to the fun by learning to play a guitar and singing along. The children shows all now include a number of fun songs with the kids in mind.
Dave also put together a new show featuring his favorite type of music: Classic country from the 50’s and 60’s, with hit songs like Marty Robbins’ "Devil Woman" and "Don’t Worry about Me", Merl Haggard’s "Branded Man", and much more favorites from this era
