The first show that was offered in 1974, was "Dave Allen The Magic Man" doing magic for kids parties through out the Clinton Iowa area. Mr. Allen is experienced in all forms of entertainment magic, from close up magic, in night clubs, to a full hour and a half illusion show, where he would cut ladies in half, lock his assistants up in a large crates and change places magically with them and much more.
About every 6 years Mr. Allen adds something new to the act. The first addition in 1980, was ventriloquism, with Leo the not to bright lion, Pugs the little lost puppy, and many other puppet friends.
In 1986 three ball juggling was added. Then 1992 Dave taught himself to make balloon animals for the kids as well.
1998 brought the addition of hand crafted marionettes (string puppets). Creating a whole circus in miniature with his puppet friends dangling from strings, while being gracefully controlled from above by Mr. Allen. The puppets includes Tommy Trap a trapeze artist, Wally the wire walker, several fun-time clowns, Bobby Bare the roller skating bear and more.
This year Mr. Allen has added to the fun, by learning to play a guitar and singing along. The children shows all now include a number of fun songs with the kids in mind.
Dave has also, put together a new show featuring his favorite type of music, classic country from the 50’s and 60’s. With hit songs like Marty Robbins "Devil Woman" , and "Don’t Worry about Me" Merl Haggard’s "Branded Man" and much more from this same time period.
